AC/DC Marathon To Be Held In Finland
January 10, 2006NewsRoom Finland is reporting that a number of bands have been confirmed to perform at the AC/DC Marathon — trumpeted by its Finnish organizers as the first and grandest event of its kind in the world — on February 28 at at Club Teatria in Oulu, Finland.
The charity concert, which will see the Australian heavy rock band's entire discrography played in chronological order, is estimated to last about 17 hours.
The Finnish lineup includes LENINGRAD COWBOYS, QUINTESSENCE, EMMI, ISMO ALANKO AND FREUD, MARX, ENGELS and JUNG. LIVE WIRE, voted in the U.S. as the top AC/DC tribute act, is also expected to perform at the concert.
The organizers promise surprise performers and impressive pyrotechnics.
Proceeds from the concert will go to the Finnish Association for Mental Health.
